Facebook Notification

To send a Facebook notification, you will first need to set up your Facebook integration. It works the same way as on Telegram or Viber, with the additional feature of sending messages.

2026-08-12

Default means there is no tag. You need to select the correct tag, and the user must be within the 24-hour window. If the user is outside the 24-hour window, the message will not be delivered — unless you use an approved Utility Message (see below).

Important: deprecation of Messenger Tags and Utility Messages

Meta has deprecated the old Messenger Tags as a way to get around the 24-hour window. Without a valid tag, there is no longer a compliant way to re-engage a user outside that window using the old method.

In place of tags, Meta introduced Utility Messages: pre-approved message templates that allow you to send follow-ups outside the 24-hour window, similar to Official WhatsApp Message Templates.

  • Utility Messages cannot be used for marketing content — they are intended for updates related to an already existing interaction/transaction (e.g., order status, appointment reminder, confirmation).
  • The "Manage and Access Page Utility Messaging" permission is required in the Facebook page integration.
  • The message template must be submitted and approved before use, just as happens with WhatsApp templates.

If your flow depends on re-engaging users outside the 24-hour window on Facebook, check whether it still uses an old Messenger Tag and migrate to an approved Utility Message template.
