Exporting a conversation

The tool automatically loads the conversation of the contact opened in Live Chat. To export another one, click "Switch contact" (search by name, phone or e-mail). With the right conversation loaded, click:

  • "Export JSON" — raw format, ideal for technical use/integration
  • "Export CSV" — generated with BOM, to open correctly in Excel
Note
The file is generated on the server and downloaded right away. Limit: 1 export per hour, per account (not per conversation).

Exporting all contacts of a channel

Click "Export all contacts". It runs in the background: the screen shows a progress bar (listing contacts → searching conversations → finishing), and you can leave the page — when you come back, the progress keeps being tracked. When it finishes, it generates a .zip (JSON + CSV) available for 7 days, and the workspace owner receives an e-mail with the link — even if that e-mail fails, the download button stays on the screen.

Note
Limit: 1 export of all contacts every 15 days, per account.
Warning
The two exports are mutually exclusive — while an "all contacts" export is running, it is not possible to start the export of an individual conversation, and vice versa.

Note: there is, only on the technical side (not yet exposed on this screen), a batch export quota for selected contacts — it is not yet available for use; it is a future evolution of the tool.
