⚙️ How it works
When someone interacts with a TikTok Ads ad linked to your business account, TikTok sends a referral event to NicoChat.
That event can automatically start an automation flow, letting you personalize replies, collect information, and record performance metrics.
In the trigger editor, you can:
- Name the trigger to make it easier to identify
- Choose which event fields will be saved to the contact (such as the ad ID or the full payload)
- Add filter conditions to determine when the automation should run
💾 Fields available to save
On the configuration screen (as shown in the image above), you can define where to store the information received from the event.

This information can be reused in future automations and remarketing flows, or exported to reports.
💡 Usage examples
🧠 Automation best practices
- Always save the full Referral Payload: it may contain additional information useful for future integrations.
- Combine this trigger with Condition actions to personalize the response based on the ad name, campaign, or audience type.
- If you use the same flow for multiple campaigns, use the Ad Id field to distinguish the sources.
- Keep event logs in a database (e.g. Supabase, Google Sheets) for later analysis.
