Registration
To start using NicoChat, you create a free account in a few steps at portal.nicochat.com/register (or through the "Sign Up" link on the login screen).
1. Email or Google
Enter your email and click "Continue", or sign in directly with "Continue with Google".
- If the email already has an account: with no plan selected, you are sent to the login; with a plan selected (e.g. an upgrade link), the system uses your existing workspaces and takes you straight to choosing which one to apply the new plan to.
- With Google, a new user skips straight to the details form (no code verification); an existing user with no plan goes to the login; an existing user with a plan goes straight to the workspace choice.
2. Code Verification
This only exists for those who sign up with email and password (Google does not go through it).
Note
A 6-digit code arrives by email (sender noreply@nicochat.com — check your spam folder). You get 3 attempts; if all of them fail, it is blocked for 5 minutes. Resending is only released 60 seconds after the previous send. There is a help modal for locating the email if it does not arrive.
If you need to correct the email, "Edit" returns to the form — but changing the email restarts this verification from scratch.
3. Account Details
- Workspace name — usually the name of your company or of your project/team
- Your name
- Phone, with a country code selector
- Password — at least 8 characters, with a number, an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter and a symbol, plus confirmation
- Mandatory acceptance of the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Ethics Policy
4. Free Trial Period
When available, choose between:
- With card — longer period, recommended, no charge during the trial
- Without card — shorter period, no payment details required
If the plan has no trial period, this step is skipped.
Special cases
Note
You came through a partner link — the free trial days may differ from the standard ones.
You came through an event link — the trial skips straight to "without card" (fixed), and after the details you choose a channel template specific to that event.
Upgrade of an existing account — you choose between creating a new workspace or applying the new plan to one you already have, seeing the current plan and the new plan side by side.
You came through an event link — the trial skips straight to "without card" (fixed), and after the details you choose a channel template specific to that event.

Once you finish, you reach the Dashboard and are guided to connect your first channel.
