Custom Domains - Overview and SMTP (NicoPartners)

The Domains screen (side menu of app.nicopartners.com) is the management center for the partner's custom domain(s). This page covers the screen overview and the SMTP configuration.

2026-08-12
Note
Each account is limited to 1 custom domain. The "Add Domain" button is disabled as soon as this limit is reached.

Adding a domain

Click Add Domain and enter the desired URL (the "https://" is added automatically if you don't type it). The domain is added to the list with the status Pending Customization, and the customization screen opens automatically right after.

Domain status

  • Active — custom domain, approved and working.
  • Pending Customization — domain created, but still without a logo, colors or texts defined.
  • Pending Approval — customization submitted, but the automatic integration with NicoChat failed or is awaiting review.
  • Rejected — domain not approved.
  • Canceled — domain canceled by the partner.

The domain list is sorted automatically by status priority (Active first) and then by creation date.

Actions available on the domain card

  • Customize — opens the visual customization screen (colors, logo, texts and preview).
  • SMTP — configures the email server used for that domain's sends (details below).
  • Link Workspace — associates a NicoChat workspace with the domain (see Connecting Workspaces to My Domain).
  • Cancel — cancels the domain.

A refresh button (reload icon) at the top of the screen lets you fetch the most recent data from the server without having to reload the page (F5).

SMTP configuration

When you click SMTP on the domain card, two options become available:

  • Default SMTP — emails are sent by NicoChat's default server, using the address no-reply@livechatbot.com.br. It requires no configuration and is always active.
  • Custom SMTP — available depending on the contracted plan. It lets you select an SMTP configuration that is already registered or create a new one, entering: server, port, user/email, password, security type (None/TLS/SSL), sender email and sender name.
Note
Custom SMTP configurations are saved per account and can be reused on more than one domain. You can edit an existing SMTP configuration at any time through the edit icon next to it in the list.
Note
Security tip shown in the app itself: for Gmail, use an "App Password" instead of the account's regular password. For other providers, confirm that SMTP is enabled and use the correct credentials.
