Add NicoChat as a custom connector in Claude, on the web or in the desktop app, and run your account through conversation.

In Claude, the NicoChat MCP server is added as a custom connector: you enter the URL https://mcp.nicochat.com/mcp under Connectors, authorize it in the browser, and Claude starts seeing your workspaces. The same connector works on the web (claude.ai) and in the desktop app, because both share the same account.
Before you start
Server URL: https://mcp.nicochat.com/mcp. It is the only information the client asks for; there is no API key to copy.
A NicoChat account with a workspace on a paid or trial plan, and you as its owner or admin.
A Claude Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise plan. On the free plan only one custom connector is allowed.
On Team and Enterprise, an organization owner has to add the connector before members can connect.
Step by step

Open settings
On the web, click your name in the bottom left corner and go to Settings › Connectors. On desktop, the path is the same through the settings menu.

Add a custom connector
Click Add custom connector. Give it a name (for example, "NicoChat") and paste the server URL into the remote MCP server URL field.

Leave the advanced settings empty
NicoChat uses dynamic client registration: there is no Client ID or Client Secret to enter. Leave headers and credentials blank and click Add.

Connect
The connector appears in the list as not connected. Click Connect: the NicoChat authorization page opens.

Authorize in NicoChat
Log in, choose permissions and expiration, and confirm. When you return to Claude, the connector shows as connected.

Turn it on in the conversation
In a new conversation, open the tools menu (the settings icon next to the message field) and check that the NicoChat connector is on. It is enabled by default.
In Team and Enterprise organizations
The owner adds the connector under Organization settings › Connectors › Add › Custom. After that, each member makes their own connection under Settings › Connectors: authorization in NicoChat is individual, and each person only sees the workspaces where they are the owner or an admin.
The authorization screen
Whatever the client, authorization happens in the browser, on the NicoChat page. You log in, choose the permissions (read and analytics is always granted; configuration, contacts, integrations and campaigns are optional) and the connection's expiration: 1, 7, 30 or 90 days, or no expiration. The tools the assistant sees depend on what you checked here — to expand later, just reconnect.
Start with read only
On your first connection, grant only read and analytics and ask for a diagnosis of your channels. Once you are comfortable with what the assistant does, reconnect granting configuration or contacts.
First requests to try
Once connected, ask Claude in natural language. Some examples that use read access only:
"List my workspaces and the channels in each one."
"How many contacts came into the WhatsApp channel in the last 7 days and what is the average first response time?"
"Summarize the structure of channel X: flows, triggers, AI agents and kanban boards."
"Which keywords are configured in channel X and where does each one lead?"
If you granted configuration, the assistant also creates flows, triggers, tags and AI agents. Everything it creates in a flow stays as a draft until you publish it in NicoChat.
Projects and Cowork
Connectors work in any conversation, including inside Projects. If you use Claude Code, see its own page: there the setup is done from the command line.
Disconnect or revoke
In the client: under Settings › Connectors, open the NicoChat connector and choose Disconnect or Remove.
In NicoChat: under Account Settings, revoke the authorization. It takes effect immediately, even if the server is still registered in the client.
Common problems
On the free plan you may already have reached the limit of one connector. On Team or Enterprise, the owner has not yet enabled custom connectors for the organization.
Claude connects from Anthropic's cloud, not from your computer. Check that the URL is exactly https://mcp.nicochat.com/mcp, with no spaces and no extra slash.
Copy the link the client shows and open it manually. If it shows no link at all, remove the server and add it again: the client registration in NicoChat is redone on first access.
That is expected when only the read permission was granted. Disconnect and connect again, checking the write permissions you need.
The server only operates in workspaces on a paid or trial plan where you are the owner or an admin. Check the plan and your role in the workspace in the NicoChat dashboard.
The expiration you chose during authorization has passed. Reconnect and, if you prefer, choose "no expiration".
