Custom Reports
NicoChat now lets you track several events that happen in your channel automations and view those events through analytics.
You can now track any custom events you want and then build collaborative analytics reports from them, with more information about the data and the metrics to track the performance of your channel and your automations.
Creating and using custom reports in NicoChat
To create a custom report, click the Tools tab and select Custom Reports.

Enter the report name and type.

Click the gear icon to start modeling your reports.

Modeling the funnel report
Click “Funnel Steps” to start adding custom events to your report.

Click “Add Step”.

Select the type of event you want to track.

After adding the event, click the three-dot icon to start customizing it.
Set up the events you want to track in this event. Click the Done button.

You can add more steps to your funnel report if you want to build a collaborative report or a comparison report across several events and track performance on several fronts.

If you want to change the colors of the trend line and bar charts, click the palette icon in the upper left corner and choose the chart whose color you want to change.

You can also edit the charts and tables themselves: change their labels and axes and enable or disable the display of each one in the report.

Modeling the percentage report
In percentage reports, you can compare two events and find out how one performs in relation to the other.
To add the events, click Field A and Field B.

To edit the boxes and charts, click here and change them as you need.

Formulas
Percentage reports let you add formulas to calculate the percentage and the appropriate event.

Formula 1
This formula compares the two fields and calculates the relative percentage between them. For example:
- Field A can be the number of students in class A and Field B the total number of students in a school. This formula helps calculate the percentage of class A students in relation to the total number of students in the school.
- Field A can be the number of sales of product A and Field B the total number of sales. This formula helps calculate the percentage of sales of product A.
Formula 2
This formula compares the two fields and, like Formula 1, gives the relative percentage. Here, Field A and Field B can be the two parts. The denominator is the sum of the constituents.
Field A can be the number of contacts that go through Flow A and Field B the number of contacts that go through Flow B. This formula shows how many people went through each flow, which is important for A/B testing.
Formulas 3 and 4
These formulas compare the two fields and give a value that is not obtained directly. For example, consider an SMS marketing campaign. We can track the total number of people targeted by the campaign and the number of people who replied asking to join the DNC (Do Not Contact) list. With this formula, we can get the actual number of people who responded to the campaign, that is, the real response rate.
