Introduction
NicoZap is the NicoChat provider that lets you connect your WhatsApp via QR Code or Pairing Code directly to the platform, with no need for a VPS, external servers or complex setup.
It replaces providers such as Z-API and Evolution, offering:
- Extremely low cost
- Stable and fast connection
- Simple setup
- Full integration with NicoChat bots and automations
Creating and Connecting a Number
- Click "New Instance" and give it a name (only the account owner can create instances).
- On the instance you created, open the actions menu and click "Connect".
- Choose "Connect with QR Code" (scan it with WhatsApp on your phone) or "Connect with Code" (enter the number, generate a code and type it on your phone).
- Once it connects, the status changes to active (green indicator).
If It Disconnects
The card shows a red indicator and the reason. To reconnect: menu → "Connect" → generate a new QR Code or code.
Permissions
Limit per Plan
Each plan has an instance quota, visible to the account owner under "Your Plan".
Groups in Live Chat (Advanced Settings)
This option lets the messages sent and received in WhatsApp groups of that instance also reach NicoChat Live Chat, and not only private conversations.
- The instance must already be connected to the NicoChat channel before you can enable groups — otherwise the option stays blocked with a warning.
- Once enabled, each WhatsApp group starts to appear in Live Chat as a contact of its own, identified by the prefix "G: group name" (for example, "G: Família Oliveira"), and each message shows the name of whoever sent it inside the group.
- To prevent flows designed for private conversations from triggering inside groups (or the other way around), build a condition in the flow builder that checks whether the User Name starts with "G:", splitting it into a "Groups Flow" and a "Private Flow".
- A purple "Groups" badge appears on the instance card while the option is active.
